Hearts Fluttering…

Posted on

As I have been prepping for my Valentine’s Day card making class, I made this variation on one of the cards we’ll be creating together.  It was a piece of inspiration I found on the Stampin’ Up! site that led me to this.  I’m pleased with how it turned out!  What do you think?  You might also notice the sentiment – I used the “My Little Valentine” stamp set that was part of the Valentine’s Day promotion.  The stamps are small but sweet!

For this particular card I used the following supplies:

*Crumb Cake Card Stock
*Designer Series Paper – Domestic Goddess
*Designer Series Paper – Flirtatious
*Designer Series Paper – Sweet Shop
*Glimmer Paper Red
*Real Red Ink Pad
*Edgelit – Finishing Touches
*Framelits – Hearts A Flutter
*Small Heart Punch
*Bakers Twine – Pool Party

Also, just a small reminder that if you’re interested in joining for some fun on Feb.9th to make some last minute Valentine’s Day cards, please let me know.  Space is limited and there are only a few spots left.  Check out the details under the “Workshops/Classes” tab or you can contact me for more info and/or to reserve your spot!

In my efforts to do up some Thank You’s Post-Christmas, this was one of the ones I came up with.  While most who know me, tend to know one of my favourite colours is Green and mostly anything bright.  However, lately, I feel like Purple has slowly been making its way onto my list of favourites.   With this card, I wanted to play with those two colours and thankfully, I had options!  I love the “Wisteria Wonder” colour from Stampin’ Up!  It’s a nice soft Purple and goes really well with brighter greens.  Sadly, this colour will be phasing out soon given the fact that it’s an “In-Colour” for the 2011-2013 run.  Regardless, I will continue to love it.  If you like it, I’d be jumping’ on that wagon soon before this colour disappears completely!!  😉

ThanksFor this card, I used the following Supplies:

*Gray Card Stock
*Textured Green Card Stock
*Whisper White Card Stock
*Designer Series Paper – Sweet Shop
*Vintage Verses Stamp Set – Not Yet Released!
*Wisteria Wonder Ink Pad
*Decorative Label Punch
*PreCut Flowers (from a set I bought ages ago for a friend’s wedding invites)
*Purple Brad
*Basic Rhinestones

For this particular card, I used the following:

*Very Vanilla Card Stock
*Rich Razzleberry Card Stock
*Designer Series Paper – Flirtatious
*Hearts A Flutter Stamp Set
*Vintage Verses Stamp Set – Not Yet Released!
*Rich Razzleberry Ink Pad
*Calypso Coral Ink Pad
*Perfect Polka Embossing Folder
