Another Baby!

Posted on

Some close friends of ours had a baby recently so there was no question I’d be off to my craft space to come up with something for the new baby.  I unfortunately didn’t have a ton of time so wanted to keep it simple but still fun.  Below is what I came up with!  And yes, it was a baby boy!!  😉  This design is pretty simple and you can see how easily you could switch the materials up to gear towards a  baby girl.

PAPER :  Marina Mist, Night of Navy, Whisper White, DSP – “Domestic Goddess”

STAMPS:  Teeny Tiny Wishes

INK:  Versa Mark Pad, Marina Mist

TOOLS:  Big Shot – Labels Collection Framelits, Heat Tool – Silver Emboss Powder

ACCESSORIES:  Stampin’ Dimensionals, Bakers Twine-Pool Party

Also, just a little reminder that with February coming to a close, it means 1 of 2 things – The Paper Pumpkin program starts up in March!  If you haven’t registered yet, don’t worry, it’s not too late.  Check out the Paper Pumpkin Tab above for more details!  Also, Sale-A-Bration ends in March so if you wanted to cash in on some free product, you have until the 22nd of March!!  Don’t miss out!

Hope you’re all well!

For those of you that know me, you know I’m a fan of TOOLS!!  Anything to help me get a job done quickly and efficiently, or anything that helps to enhance a project, I’m a big fan!  So it’s no surprise that this tool I’m about to share with you is a kind of a big deal.  It’s called the Simply Scored Tool and it’s made by Stampin’ Up!  Typically, when I am making cards, I pull out my cutting mat, my ruler and a pair of trusty scissors and score my cards that way.   This works – for the most part.  The odd time, I find I’m trimming a bit here and there to make the ends meet properly or to square the ends off.  I’ve also wanted a quick and easy way to do my own envelopes.  Especially with all of the great Designer series paper available, it’s a shame not to have more fun with envelopes!!!

That said, it’s a quick post today but wanted to share with you the Simply Scored Tool and some of the cool things you can achieve using it!!!

Valentine’s Day Prep!

Posted on

With the weekend sadly coming to a close, I thought I would share some of the work we completed at yesterday’s Valentine’s Prep Class.  It was a great day and special thanks goes out to the ladies that made it out!  We had some good laughs!!  The goal was to come out of the class with 2 big cards and 3 mini cards – all geared towards Valentine’s day!  It’s safe to say we more or less got there in-between all the chatter!  😉  Below is a look at the cards we set out to complete!  Our secret ingredient for the day was the “Blushing Bride” Smooch Spritz from Stampin’ Up!

Special Birthday

Posted on

I wanted to do up a little something extra special for a very good friend of mine this month.  Her Birthday was about a week ago and I wanted to think of something fun and fancy to make for her.  So, with just a few supplies, I managed to come up with this……..What do you think?

DebsBday copy

Within Stampin’ Up!’s DSP called “Flirtatious” are two sheets of this cool die cut paper – almost look like fancy doilies!!  So I carefully cut one out to provide the circular backing you see above.  For the inside, just a simple sentiment.

To make the card above, I used the following materials:

PAPER :  Very Vanilla, Pretty In Pink, DSP – “Flirtatious”

STAMPS:  Vintage Verses, Blooming With Kindness

INK:  Wisteria Wonder

TOOLS:  Big Shot – Finishing Touches Edgelits, Perfect Polka Emboss Folder

ACCESSORIES:  Basic Rhinestone, Stampin’ Dimensionals
