My deepest apologies for not updating in a while! Life has been busy, but a good busy!! I don’t think I could truly express how happy this crafting makes me. I realize to most, sending cards and the like is a thing of the past in this digital world. However, I am beginning to see how much more people appreciate receiving such cards in the mail, or with gifts because it IS so rare. I don’t know about you, but as easy as emails and e-invites, etc are, they’re just not the same. I feel like there is more thought that goes into the card you select/make and it shows that you put effort into your greeting. Don’t you think? Let’s make it a New Year resolution!! Send out cards for friends/family Birthdays!!! Anyway, perhaps that’s a rant for another day!! Let’s get on with it, shall we?
With Christmas around the corner, I have been busy preparing for two Vendor Sales. I had one earlier this month and my next one will be at the end of the Month. I thought I would take this time to share a couple of the items I’ve made! Not only have I made a boat-load of Christmas cards, but I have also made items such as Gift Bags, Journals, Treat Cups & Boxes, custom wrapped pens and Magnets!! Yes, I’ve been busy.
This was my set up at the last Vendor Sale:
So without any further delay, here’s one of my favourite cards from my Christmas Selection….
The card was made with the “Festival of Trees” bundle!
The cool part about the above is that I coloured basic pearls with Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities. This won’t work with just any marker! You can also do this with the basic rhinestones! Talk about coordination!! Below is the card’s inside….
Supplies are listed below in case you’re interested!
Here’s a look at one of the journals I completed. It’s inclusive of a matching custom covered Pen! Woohoo! If you’re like me, I’m a sucker for journals and notebooks! I have a “small” collection that remain un-inked! One day I will commit to them! This one is all packaged up and ready for sale!
I will say, since we cancelled our Cable TV (yes, there came a point where there was NO point in having it) we have both been so much more productive. My husband is an illustrator/concept artist so he uses that time to work on personal pieces. I definitely feel better knowing that rather than sitting in front of the tube, we’re working hard to achieve the goals we’ve set for ourselves.
Okay, so how did I create the above card? Here’s the list of supplies……:
